Hmmm, after doin some christmas shopping today, i sat down and i wondered who my favorite historical icons were? i dint know why this was being questioned, but i came across these men, Malcolm X, Spike Lee, Bob Marley, and Huey P. Newton, i know they all stood for something different and unique to them, but in the same sense they all stood for the same cause. i know some of you will be askin, Why isnt MLK in there or Barack Obama?, my answer is simply because they are the obvious choices, so i dug deeper int my brain. i will give you my reasoning behind each man, Starting with Malcolm X- he was a strong devout muslim, fighting to get his people, his race recognized, and still balanced a family life, he might have used violence and anger in his political ways, but he was still fueled by love, Spike Lee- he just wants to be him, and be accepted for who he truly is, his ways may be "different" or "unique" but he will do whatever it takes to get his points across. Bob Marley- he said that love will cure everything, and everything is "Irie" meaning everything is ok, he was not trying to be a revolutionary or a politician, he was just simply a man who wanted to be heard and out his music out. last but not least, is Huey P. Newton, the leader of the black panthers. I appreciate him because he didnt just protest against the oppresion, he actually did something to help stop it, and when he did this he faced further oppression. mind you, he was a well educated college student, but he did have street roots so he wanted to make things right for others who were coming up in his footsteps so that they didnt have to deal with the bullshit that he went through.

that is my take on each and every one of those men, and that is why i think they are the most prominent characters in my/African-American history.

being different in a world of similarity

this is my first post in a while so let me start by sayin how ya'll been? ok so lets get started with this picture. this car has definitly been a long time comin!. i finally got rid of the altima, any of you who know me, know how much i truly LOATHED that car. well i got rid of that and got a scion Tc. BUT the color was killin me! and the fact that everybod and their momma has one wasnt helping. so i decided to put my own personal spin on it, seeing thats what they advertise for it. first off i started by picking out these black and chrome rims with a 1.5in lip and then i decided to smoke the back lights to add some masculinity to it. after all that you get the finished product here. i am currently debating if i want to do anything to the enigne but if i do, you will be THE first to know.

just an update

these past few days have been very productive. i have had up and downs. thanks to http://soulfulcommandoe.com i have gotten a few numbers. thanks nick! love you cuzzo! this venture has been a very insightful and informational one. this weekend has been very fun. saturday was pretty much a burnt mission to the beach, but i had fun with my brother and my wonderful sister-in-law. the day started off bad with my brothers car not working, damn the VQ35DE engine!!!! haha then it made it to the beach ok, so when we were gettin ready to leave we tried to crank the car it didnt start. so we call triple A and get it jumped and i had to drive it homee.. so @ the stoplight i had 2 ricers tryin to race me, then the 350Z's big brother, the GT-R came up and made them both look dumb.
anyway back to ME!... welll i've had some female issues but hopefully this week sheds light on something positive in this situation. well im done with this post stay reading and keep intouch with me and keep reading my progress :D
